So it's August 8th, and that means that summer is almost gone. Seriously?!? Wasn't Memorial Day like last week? Sure seems like it. I'm starting to hear "Back to School" ads (actually, those started about a week after the 4th of July) and I remember how depressed I used to get when I was younger, and about to head back to school after a long, relaxing summer. It took at least 1 month to get used to the stricter schedule/ bedtime after school started. On a happier note, though, starting school meant great school supplies, and I am STILL a sucker for school supplies. Glossy Hello Kitty folder- sign me up!!!
Not much going on with us during these last dog days of summer... Did you know that "dog days of summer" is an actual, real thing- not just a saying? Found that out this year. You learn something new every day!
My cousin Nathan and his wife Lucy are about to have their first baby ANY MINUTE now, so cute baby pictures will follow some time next week, I'm sure. Tune in for those!
Happy birthday to my best pal Brooke, and my friend Susan, whose birthdays are tomorrow! You guys are getting old!
