Peace

I haven't been regularly posting in the last few months, and I'm not sure why. I guess I really haven't had a ton of stuff to say. Usually when I'm in the midst of a fun activity or a trying experience, I think "I can't wait to blog about this!" but that hasn't really happened lately.

In September, Brian's contract with his employer over the last year ended. So, he's been home since then, looking for another job. This has been an interesting rhythm- it's been a long time since we've been in the same place during the day. I've been working hard, and a new contract for me has kept me out of the house a lot more than usual. (I think God did this intentionally so I don't strangle Brian.) ;-)

We've been moving forward, putting one foot in front of the other, trying to make ends meet in this time with no steady, reliable income. All small business owners know that it's very rare for you to know EXACTLY what your monthly take-home pay will be before month's end.

But, nevertheless, we DO continue to put one foot in front of another. What I mean is, we haven't really been broken by this season of uncertainty. We're in the middle of a time that most couples cringe to think about, and we're okay. The Lord has blessed us with the knowledge that He will not give us more than we can handle, and the perspective that as long as we have each other, we'll be okay.

We are utterly relying on the Lord, knowing that He is taking care of us. In this time of uncertainty (but I guess nothing is ever REALLY certain), we're at peace.
