Finish The Sentence

What?? Blogging two days in a row?!?! Whoa, Kelli, chill out...

My friend Sarah had this on her Facebook page and I thought it was fun. Feel free to steal. (I did, after all...)

1. My dad..... is mellowing as he, um, matures.

2. Maybe I should....... not worry about my brother quite so much.

3. I love........ my husband (unexpected answer there...)

4. People would say that I'm....... freakin' fabulous.

5. I don't understand....... lots. Mostly, programming. I let Brian take care of that.

6. When I wake up in the morning...... I brush my teeth, and then literally drag Brian out of bed (sometimes kicking and screaming.)

7. I lost.... my left black jelly shoe. (Why I still own jellies is another question for another day.)

8. Life is full of........ complications.

9. My past was........ a lot easier than most people's pasts. I'm extremely blessed.

10. I get annoyed when........ people don't do what I think they should do. (Hello, control freak.)

11. Parties are...... fun! Particularly birthday parties. With cake. Yumm...

12. I wish........ that I understood God's plans for my life. He's currently working on peace and patience with me...

13. Dogs........ make me smile, particularly one little gray dog.

14. Cats...... make me cringe. WHY would someone prefer a cat over a dog???

15. Tomorrow...... I hope to have my office more organized.

16. I have low tolerance....... people who REFUSE to learn about technology (hello, email is here to stay!!)

17. If I had a million dollars........ I would become debt free and make a lot of babies.

18. I'm totally terrified......... of losing a loved one.

19. I'm looking forward to.... having babies.

20. My life....... is incredibly blessed.

BTW: After I blogged about needing to get organized yesterday, I moved the treadmill and stairstepper out and moved a table in so I have more organization. YEAHH!!!! (I knew you were really stressed for me on that one...)

Project: ORGANIZE!!

So when we moved our office office into a home office in March, we were moving everything over the weekend, and basically shoved everything either in the garage or in the office. The garage is a project for another day, but the office mess is driving me nuts.

I'm not an organized person by nature, but I SO enjoy it when everything is in it's place. BEFORE we moved the office, we had put the treadmill and stairstepper in here because there's a TV (which makes working out go SO much faster.) Needless to say, these have now been rendered useless as they currently serve as my conference table/ shelves/ filing system/ TO DO pile.

Oh, and my filing cabinet? My filing cabinet can currently be found under a client sample display, banner and stack of stuff which NEEDS to filed within said files (which are technically USPS Mail bins) behind the trashcans.

See? Oh, you don't?? That's (again) because the files are located NOT in a filing cabinet, but in USPS mail bins under/ behind other crap. Where I can't easily access them. So crap is piling up.

My desk, you ask? Weee-eeellll, shall we take a look??

The desk would be that wooden piece of furniture under all the papers/ samples/ non-functioning dual monitor system/ more client displays and various other necessities. Ahem.

Well, what it sounds like I need is some storage. How about a book case?? That would certainly be helpful....

Maybe something along these lines?? No?? This would be the matching bookcase to this office suite that is currently packed to the gills with coding books. Not mine. My sweet husband's.

Want to play a game?? Okay. In the above pictures, see how many computer monitors you can spot.... How about actual computers? How about printers??

How about this-- leave your answers in the comments section of this post, and the winner will get the fanTAStic prize of getting to assist in organizing this behemoth mess...

No??? That's not technically a prize worth winning? Ha. Where is Monica Gellar Bing when you need her?? Okay. Let's see what you got right.

Computer monitors in above photo: 3

BONUS-- Can you guess how many ADDITIONAL monitors we have in the rest of the house, not counting laptops?

Actual computers in the above photo: 4 (Bet you didn't get that one right. You probably missed the file server and TiVo computer which you can barely see behind the computer on the floor to the right of the desk...)

Printers visible in the above photo: 3 (But if we're getting technical, there's ANOTHER printer located directly behind the closet doors to the right of said 3 printers...)

Help. I told Christy I would pay her with love and brownies if she wanted to help organize the office. (She's got potentially the most organized home of all of my pals.) Well, Christy, hopefully you're being flooded with inspiration as you read this... Right??

Argh.

A whole lotta....

NOTHING....

That's what we've been up to. We went to life group last night and they asked what we've been doing the last few weeks, and although we were sure we had been swamped, we looked at each other, and couldn't come up with any juicy details....

Well, unless you count the fact that we hosted a wedding shower for Mel and David a few weekends ago.

It was a luau, in case you couldn't tell... We had a ton of fun, and everything came together beautifully! The food was fabulous-o, and the cake speaks for itself...

But we've been absolutely boring besides that... Unless we're talking about the next weekend, in which case my parents came in town, and we had a blast hanging out with them.

We went to see Monsters v. Aliens in 3D (yeah, I know we're all supposed to be grown ups, but if you've met my husband, you must know that he was so excited to go experience the latest technology in 3D.) Mom and I had come in behind Daddy and Brian, and when we were walking up to the seats, here's what we saw. The guys were decked out in their 3D glasses, looking like complete dorks, ready to enjoy the show. Which was actually really good!

So that's pretty much it.... oh, yeah, unless you count this weekend, in which I had Mel's bachelorette fiesta to attend (it was a "Sex and the City" theme with cosmos aplenty, and we wore our pajamas. So, no, there are no pictures...)

Then on Saturday night, we went over to Eric and Lindsay's where they treated us to an AMAZING dinner!!

No, they didn't look this uber-cute for our dinner on Saturday (this is from Mel and David's shower) but it's just such a great picture I had to throw it in.

They made us grilled chicken, bread, rice and a fantastic salad, and finished it off with strawberry shortcake. What a treat!!

So that's it.... I know, not much going on at all... There are of course the other boring details of our lives- work. On that front, Brian's been at work 9+ hours a day, only to come home to more work as he builds my new website as well as others. Poor guy- I sure don't pay him enough! And actually, the economy has positioned my business quite well- larger companies looking for an economical solution to their marketing needs. (They can't afford to pay the huge agency retainers anymore, but still need good stuff done.)

I think THAT'S actually it. For real. I apologize for not posting more frequently- but please note, I post more often than my friend Susan who recently told me I'm bad as her on waiting an entire MONTH between posts. Ahem. My most recent post was 13 days ago. I'm sure you were able to live without details of my life for that long...

Oh, you weren't?? You were simply STARVED for more Kelli & Brian???

Liar.
